I am now 6 weeks old

Kia ora ano,

I have only just convinced my dad to let me get on the internet to update my blog he's been a bit slack lately according to my mother - she also reckons he's letting himself go to the pack cause he's not exercising as much as he did before I came along. My dad says he just wants to spend more time with me and that's cool cause I love spending time with my dad.

I am now 6 weeks old and have put on about 5lbs since I was born and mum and dad reckon I'm getting fat but in a good way as I just have a "healthy appetite". Below is a photo of me at home with one of my brothers and one of my sisters - Te Maire and Ngarangi.

I have have 3 brothers Raumoa is the eldest, Arepa is next and then Te Maire I also have 3 Sisters Te Rina the eldest, Te Ripeka (who died 3 days after she was born - Dad said she is up in heaven watching over me.) and Ngarangi. Te Maire, Ngarangi and I all have the same mum and my other brothers and sisters have a different mum.
Well it's past my bedtime and mum and dad said I have to go to sleep now but I don't mind I'll wake them up in a few hours anyway - hehehe... ka kite :-)

Tihei Mauri Ora - Kua tae mai au

Kia Ora my name is Turama i te rangi Te Whaiti Paranihi (well that is my name for now apparently there maybe more to come maybe my parents are still working on it).

On January 15th at 12.32pm I was born weighing in at 7olb 3oz to very very proud parents, Marewa Itirangi Turama Paranihi and Rauhina (Suzy) Cooper. I was 5 days overdue and gave my mother a very hard time and needed a little help getting out in the form of a suction machine which helped and did no damage so all is well.

My dad is very proud and says I have his eyes and nose and my mums lips but we shall see. I want to say a big thank you to all the whanau that was there to help my mum and also my mums midwife and all the hospital staff that rushed it to help get me out. You are all awesome.
Dad is going crazy taking photo and wants to record my progress so come back and visit anytime.
Ka kite.
I love you mum and dad.
Turama i te rangi.
